The design brief;

Modernize the exterior & modify the interior of an existing commercial building to create a communal kitchen area, shower room, large open plan office space & multiple meeting & store rooms.

The design took in to account both the landlord's brief to assist in future-proofing the building & the tenant's brief for their office, meeting & store requirements.

​

The main challenge was to simplify the existing structure & create a retro-fit steel portal structure in order to make the space adaptable & minimize waste produced by future adaptations.

​

Principles of the circular economy were engage throughout & the majority of materials/products selected were those that can be currently recycled.
