New Build Passivhaus Home

Design for a modern family home to achieve the Passivhaus standard.

The design sought to maximise the stunning views of Bennachie as well as incorporate the surrounding vernacular building forms. A large open-plan kitchen/dining/living space with vaulted ceiling accompanied by feature glazing creates a spacious and bright entertaining space within this house. In contrast, the lounge/snug to the front and first floor seating area offer a more private and reflective space for relaxing.

Although initially the planning application was refused, we successfully had this overturned through our submissions to the local committee.
