Taking inspiration from the listed steading nearby these house designs were to offer modern interiors, with open plan living and spacious bedrooms, whilst taking a traditional external appearance.

The proposed positioning of the 6 houses on the site utilises the existing site gradients as well as subtle positional differences to maximise privacy and natural light within the planning-stipulated court yard layout.
